Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This contemporary artwork features a vibrant, organic composition of lush, verdant moss encased within a transparent acrylic frame. The varying shades of green, interspersed with occasional splotches of brown and purple, create a captivating visual tapestry that mimics the natural patterns and textures found in a forest floor. The use of the clear frame emphasizes the living, growing nature of the moss, inviting the viewer to observe the intricate details and subtle changes within the enclosed ecosystem. This piece likely explores the intersection of art, nature, and the delicate balance of natural systems. ...

An island is all surrounded by water In the morning foreboding Quickly solved by dripping A shower, you know A slow crawl to the park Wait first meat A coffee A hill A roundabout A breeze on the lake A larking body of water, once screaming once babbling, once running A sleeping family A white child with A water gun A tall tree A tunneling A horn Another A too small blanket, you in my mind and next to me A wind in my ears, my basement look what I found, leave the lights on A sigh A tie on a rooftop A still flooding Another horn All in the flight path An immovable object A clapping of leaves A certainty, it is seven feet deep One boy watches the other A horn

Hello Hello Johnson‘s narcissis, here‘s your moon rising over that yellow thin line of a place not like in the ocean, those cliffs, opening if anything, Who know’s if they’re hurt? Hello Hello, Eden‘s in the sea and you‘re in hell, you then us, hello, hello, When it’s day and I see the moon in the sky does the moon go away before it is night or does the moon also stay? Hello Hello, mesh wire keeps chicks inside, Hello, Hello, The wide road shimmered in the hot sun, Hello Hello, This is what you get when you lay a circle out in triangles or maybe hop over the fence and plunge in, Hello Hello Hello Hello, a giant sees nothing in the mirror, Hello, Hello, can some one get me out of here. Hello hello the sun is the sky

Sweet words work better than fierce. The duke left the park in a silver coach. Greet the new guests and leave quickly. When the frost has come it is time for turkey. A thin stripe runs down the middle. A six comes up more often than a ten. Lush fern grow on the lofty rocks

Sean Raspet
B.1981, American

Inspired by technology and consumer society, Sean Raspet’s work extends beyond the sphere of art to intervene in the fields of science, food production, and finance. A number of his projects focus on how systems mutate and change material form, resulting in an approach to abstraction that involves working with intangible elements such as chemical compounds, currency valuation and financialization, legal administration, and data processing. Raspet became a self-taught chemist in order to produce compounds such as artificial flavors and fragrance formulations, cleaning products, new food prototypes, and a synthetic DNA tracking gel among others. His works do not merely circulate within the context of the exhibition space, but instead are “metabolized” both inside and outside of the art context—and sometimes quite literally within the human body. ...

Various Small Fires
Los Angeles, Seoul, Dallas

Various Small Fires (Los Angeles /Dallas /Seoul) began as a series of conversations with artists and curators in Esther Kim Varet’s Venice Beach kitchen while working on her doctoral dissertation. VSF debuted in Hollywood as an official gallery in 2015 with a roster of artists and its current Johnston MarkLee Architects-designed building. The Hollywood gallery contains three exhibition spaces, a unique sound corridor, and an outdoor gallery. VSF’s exhibition program explores several curatorial lines: climate, equality, and an international conversation. The gallery is known for offering artists debut shows, creating intergenerational conversations among the artists on its roster, and solidifying artists’ legacies within art history. In 2019, VSF opened a second location in the Hannam neighbourhood of Seoul, South Korea, followed recently this Spring by VSFs third outpost in Dallas, Texas. While Varet has very personal connections to both locations, they are also superlative art communities. These expansions emphasise the gallery’s commitment to innovation and global dialogue in the twenty-first century. In 2021, VSF became a member of the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA). ...
