Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

This abstract sculpture features a dark, rugged surface with a striking organic, distorted form. The irregular shape and textured appearance create a sense of movement and depth, evoking a sense of natural, amorphous forms. The artist has employed a technique that results in a moody, mottled coloration, ranging from deep browns to lighter, almost ethereal tones. The overall composition exudes a raw, primal quality, inviting the viewer to contemplate the interplay between natural materials and artistic expression. The artist's intention appears to be exploring the intersection of the natural and the sculptural, challenging the boundaries of traditional form. ...

Jacqueline Kiyomi Gork's hybrid practice combines work in sound installation, sculpture, and performance with the aim of reconfiguring the traditional hierarchies between audience, performer, and architecture. Her sculptural and sonic systems often reference complex sonic histories embedded into the technological infrastructure of architecture, music, communications technologies and military research. By investigating the networks of institutional and technological power which traverse our embodied perception of sound, she hopes to reveal the myriad ways in which our acoustic experience is subject to control and suggest alternative modes of engagement with the sonic world. ...

Instituto de Visión
Bogotá, New York City

Instituto de Vision is a Bogotá and New York based gallery for conceptual practices. Their mission is to investigate conceptual discourses that have been neglected by the official Latin American art canon. They have recovered important estates from the Latin American art of the mid century and continue to research the most enigmatic oeuvres of the region. Through a parallel program, they represent some of the most relevant contemporary practices from Colombia, Chile, North America, Venezuela, and others. Directed by three women, Instituto de Vision gives special attention to female voices, queer theories, environmental activism, the conflicts of migration, and other critical positions that challenge the established order. Using the international art scene as a platform, they are committed to give visibility and expand the work of artists that reveal critical realities and raise important questions for these contemporary subjects. ...
