Rita Mcgurn
B.1940

In addition to an eclectic career in interior design, theatre and television, Rita McGurn was an enthusiastic artist and knitter from the 1970s, creating sculptures in wool. Rita McGurn was not in the habit of titling or dating the works of art she compulsively produced, preferring to think of them as elements in a constantly unfolding tapestry that could be infinitely altered, a tapestry that was directly superimposed on the life she led.
