Description
Human-crafted. AI-refined.

The artwork is a vibrant and intricate textile piece that features a colorful collage of abstract faces. The composition is characterized by an array of organic shapes and textures, created through the use of multicolored threads and stitches. The faces, while stylized, convey a sense of emotion and interaction, with expressive eyes and mouths. The overall aesthetic suggests a folk art or outsider art style, combining a raw, handmade quality with a visually striking and imaginative representation. In addition to an eclectic career in interior design, theatre and television, Rita McGurn was an enthusiastic artist and knitter from the 1970s, creating sculptures in wool. Rita McGurn was not in the habit of titling or dating the works of art she compulsively produced, preferring to think of them as elements in a constantly unfolding tapestry that could be infinitely altered, a tapestry that was directly superimposed on the life she led.
