Nasser’s work examines the intersection of human and non-human entanglement in relation to environmental, historical, and political issues, particularly those resulting from practices of extraction and colonial erasure. Her artistic process involves using materials that carry literal meaning, and her work is rooted in her personal experiences and the history of her region. In her solo exhibition “Time spent without its flow” at V.O Curations in London, she used found fabrics from her grandparents' house located in the south of Lebanon, which she coloured with natural dyes made from wildflowers that can withstand toxic soil. After dyeing the textiles, she applied charcoal rubbings from the trunks of olive trees and flintstone from neighbouring terrace walls. LondonV.O Curations is an arts organisation dedicated to supporting emerging and underrepresented artists through an innovative and critically-engaged programme. Founded in 2019 by Zina Vieille and Nnamdi Obiekwe, V.O Curations believes that to curate is to approach all aspects of the programme - residencies, exhibitions, events and studio spaces - with care. V.O Curations spans two locations in Mayfair and Tower of London, and currently hosts over 250 artists and thinkers in affordable studios, responding to the changing ways in which they are working and the acute rent increases in the capital. In January 2021, V.O Curations opened its headquarters at 56 Conduit Street, which is the site for its residency and exhibition programme, alongside 70 artist studios.
