Chetsada Phuwiang

Chetsada Phuwiang (b. 2001, Suphan Buri, Thailand) employs the innovative mediums of sand and airbrush painting, he creates vibrant abstractions of haptic experience. Through images of fleeting physicality, his works engage with dialogues around queer sensuality and sexuality. He explores the tensions surrounding intimacy and belonging, dissolving the boundaries between bodies and bodies in space.

Nova Contemporary aims to cultivate the exchange of Thailand’s contemporary art and culture to Southeast Asia and beyond. They pride themselves on showcasing both established and emerging artists through a diverse programme of exhibitions and events – with a primary focus on exceptional Thai artists. They hope to bring art education to the general public and contribute to Thailand’s ever growing, vibrant art community.
